MUSIC VIDEO-THEORIES
Goodwins theory:
Analyses conventions of music videos suggesting that genre conventions, lyrics and visuals, music, close ups, motifs and intertextual references are all key elements of music videos.
Richard dyers theory:
Stars are constructed images represented across media texts. However many stars are relatable to audiences , making videos they appear in more relatable.
The Man:
Richard Dyer:
The man in the video includes many stereotypical scenarios. One being a man on the train , man spreading and smoking, making women feel uncomfortable. This therefore makes the video relatable for many viewers who are likely to have experienced this.
Goodwin:
There are many intertextual references used throughout the video. One being the poster of a scooter crossed out. This is a direct reference to Scooter Braun who wouldn't let Taylor swift own her masters.

-Flowers are often associated with a pleasant scent so including these will make people think that while they are wearing the perfume they will smell as nice as a flower.

SHSG advert
-Used a limited but cohesive colour palette of green, white and red to aline with the schools uniform.
-Images of students seemingly enjoying school will encourage potential students to choose SHSG as the school for them.
-Image of student walking into the door of the 6th form building connotes the idea that 6th form is a time for are beginnings and the start of a new journey.
-Serif font to reinforce the sense of prestige that comes along with attending a grammar school.
-Students walking through the school together portrays the school as welcoming, showing how students a;; get along with one another.
